
KGV GovtUPS was formerly knows as KG Vilasam LP School which
was established in 1936 at the centre of Kundara, one of the ancient Industrial
areas in Kerala. As per the information from various sources, the school was
established by one of the resident Sri Kochidichandi Asan, subsequently handed
over to another person namely Sri Ummen vaidyan and then to government of
Kerala.
Currently, about 900 students are studying in pre-primary, lower primary and upper primary sections in both malayalam and english medium.
The school has attained the approval of British Council in 2011 for its better activities & academic endeavor.
The admission of the students are increasing year to year proving the efficiency of the school.
The role of PTA and aid from various sources and classes of the society is remarkable.
